Reflecting on the 5th Automotive Wire Harness & EDS Conference in 2026

The 5th US Automotive Wire Harness & Electrical Distribution Systems Conference brought together automotive engineers, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and technology experts for two days of technical discussions, industry insights and networking on 20–21 October 2026 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.

The 2026 edition explored key developments in automotive electrical engineering, including next-generation E/E architectures, software-defined vehicles, high-voltage systems, advanced connectivity and wire harness manufacturing. Sessions also examined the growing role of AI, automation and data-driven engineering in improving design, testing and quality.

Participating companies included: Rivian, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Bosch, Yazaki North America, TE Connectivity, Molex, Siemens, LEONI, FORVIA HELLA, Amphenol, Rosenberger, KOSTAL, AUCOTEC, Lumafield, TRUMPF and Hirschmann Automotive.

Alongside the technical programme, delegates had opportunities to connect with industry peers through the exhibition, networking breaks and evening reception. Selected attendees also participated in an exclusive Caresoft Global site tour, exploring vehicle teardown benchmarking and automotive technologies.

We extend our thanks to all speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates who contributed to the success of this year's conference. We look forward to welcoming the automotive electrical engineering community back for the next edition.
