Dr. Amin Moghaddas
Applications Engineer
EWI (Edison Welding Institute)

Amin Moghaddas is an Applications Engineer with EWI's Resistance and Solid-State Joining Group, where he develops simulation-driven solutions for ultrasonic manufacturing processes. His expertise includes ultrasonic tooling design, vibration and modal analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and process optimization for ultrasonic metal welding. He also works on integrating sensing technologies and data-driven methods for real-time weld quality monitoring and process improvement.
With more than 15 years of experience in computational modeling and advanced manufacturing, Amin has supported a wide range of industrial R&D programs spanning automotive, electronics, medical devices, and consumer products. His work combines numerical modeling with experimental validation to improve process robustness, tooling performance, and manufacturing efficiency. Amin holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering and regularly presents and publishes research on ultrasonic joining technologies and simulation-based manufacturing.
