Since 1998, Naoshi Serizawa has been engaged in the development of automotive optical components, beginning with contributions to D2B Optical and MOST technologies. In 2007, he assumed a leading role in the development of the IDB-1394 S400/S800 automotive optical component standards. In 2013, serving as Chairman and Project Leader of the OPEN Alliance TC7, he launched the development of the 1 Gbps automotive optical Ethernet standard. Since 2016, he has held the position of Convenor for ISO TC22/SC32/WG10, under which he oversaw the development of ISO 21111-4 in 2020 and ISO 24581 in 2024. At present, he continues to serve as Chair of TC7 and Convenor of WG10, leading the advancement of next-generation optical communication and component standards. In parallel, he is responsible for managing cutting-edge research and development in in-vehicle communication technologies -including electrical, optical, and wireless systems -at Yazaki Corporation.
