Quality In Wiring: What we are doing now and how it impacts what comes next [moderated by Jared Thompson]
Much of what we are discussing at the Automotive Wire Harness and Electrical Distribution Systems Conference, and likely even in our daily working roles, is rooted in the question “what can we do to make things better?” Simply put, how can we improve the quality of engineering designs and the physical parts that come from them? This panel seeks to start addressing these questions by looking at what OEMs and Supplier are doing to focus on quality, now. As other presentations during the conference will show us what is coming up next, we want to ensure we understand what is needed presently and how that informs both development and adoption of new tools, technologies, and approaches. We hope to use this panel as a stepping off point for improving our approach to quality across the industry by starting working groups focused on developing specifications, guidelines, and other helpful best practices.
